Maldives Polytechnic recently welcomed representatives from Yunnan Open University, China, for discussions on potential areas of collaboration aimed at strengthening academic, research, and professional development opportunities between the two institutions.
The meeting provided an opportunity to explore a range of collaborative initiatives, including staff development, lecturer training, joint research projects, student internships, digital learning, and academic exchange programmes. Both institutions also discussed potential partnerships in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), workforce development, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and capacity-building initiatives that support innovation and skills development.
The discussions reflected a shared commitment to enhancing educational quality, fostering international cooperation, and creating opportunities that benefit students, academic staff, and the wider community.
